I would start drying the mussel and oysters now mate as they are really soft straight out of the bag due to the absence of egg in the mix. I dried mine in a box and they eventually went quite hard. I also rehydrate them with the liquid and this makes them even harder. I am actually impressed with how hard the choccy malts have gone. But considering I put them in boxes in November, you would hope they would really!! They are now like bullets which is what I like for hookbaits. If you can't get the M & O baits hard in time, use two 20mm pop ups mate. Always worth a go!!

Cheers mate.

Hi Jake.looks spooky! On the plus side the lake looks stunning.i have decided to get malarkey boilies from destiny baits and also some fresh mussel and oyster from db as i really think these will do the business. My wife told me if jake is using them they must be good! I really think the hemp is a must also the tigers.unsure if to take some pellet as well. On last years trip my mates said the carp didnt respond to heavy baiting but i think better to take too much and bring it home.Any signs of fish yet? Take care in those woods and dont be taking home movies! Tim
