Cheers for your comment mate. To be honest with you, I didn’t think people were really that interested in what I was up to in between my fishing sessions.I made the decision somewhere along my travels that I needed a break from writing the blog, in between the fishing. However, that was when I was fishing 24/7 and the mega-long sessions. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to write a few posts when I am not fishing so I will give it a go mate, and see what the reaction is.

As for Charley – we both still miss her mate. Getting another dog is out of the question though. Flash deserves to be the only dog in my life till his number’s up, plus he is a grumpy sod and I don’t think he would take too kindly to a young pup chewing his ears and eating the food out of his bowl. Plus – I will have a break from dogs for a year or so. They are amazing creatures but a tie nevertheless, and you can’t be spontaneous and just fly off to some destination on the spur of the moment with a dog, because they always need looking after too!

Thanks Stewart. Your words are appreciated. In all honesty it isn’t easy catching a carp like that from here. It takes lots of sessions, and hard work and determination. However, I have a feeling there is yet more to come this session, as sometimes it is just about being in the right time at the right place.

Hi Jake, I’ve been reading the blog for about a year now, and I have to say that 30lber has got to be the best looking yet! You must be as chuffed with that one as with your S.B. PB.
